Critical Mass

I have reported out in the past week or so that there has been a flurry of activity behind the scenes at the Snake River Killer podcast. I’ve been talking at length with team members, scheduling interviews, writing episodes, and seeking out experts on an array of topics related to these cases. But there are others outside of this team who are beginning to take notice of these cases as well.

Former New York Times reporter, Jayson Blair, is not only a fan of the show, but he has interviewed Gloria for a 2 part series on his podcast, The Silver Linings Playbook. In fact, Gloria and I will be meeting with Jayson next month and I have asked him to be on the show, which he has gracefully agreed to. You should also know that there is another podcast coming out on these cases from iHeart Radio. I had a chance to meet with the folks behind that show earlier this summer. Their approach will be, I think, quite different than our approach, but their show will get more ears and eyes on these cases, and that is critical.

A recent discovery I have made has really reinvigorated me, and I cannot wait to share it with you. It was the kind of discovery that—at the risk of sounding hokey—felt like that universe dropped in my lap. You will learn all about it in Episode 12, which will drop on October 31st, the one year anniversary of launching the Snake River Killer podcast.

There are a number of other things that we will be rolling out in the coming weeks, so there is a lot to look forward to. All of which is to say it feels like there is some critical mass surrounding these cases, which means now is the time to hit the gas. Please keep sending me your tips, ideas, questions, thoughts, and the like. I try to respond to all of them, but if you haven’t heard back, don’t be afraid to give me a nudge.

Finally, now that fall is upon is, it is a great time to snag a SRK hoodie. You can get yours from our merch store.
